Reef Octopus kalkwasser reactors are used for dosing kalkwasser (calcium hydroxide) in reef tanks. A kalkwwasser reactor, used in conjunction with moderate water changes, should be able to keep up with calcium and alkalinity demands in lightly stocked tanks.

Reef Octopus calcium reactors are used in moderate to heavily stocked systems housing fast-growing corals and invertebrates. It is arguably the best method for maintaining calcium and alkalinity levels. The investment on a complete system is substantial but once tuned it they can keep up with any tank’s demands and keep the calcium and alkalinity levels rock-steady with very little maintenance.
